You may have seen glimpses of this dress in our previous post on the Flower Fairies shoot or seen it featured on Whimisal Wedding Wonderland blog, but there is just so much gorgeousness and inspiration in that project that its waaaay to easy to get distracted by the styling details by Nina Marika, or drool over the Macaron tower by Medici Macerons. I know you’re busy trying to book the adorable heart lights by Typical Type and that you’ve all already checked whether Tiree is available to photograph your wedding.
There is so much LOVE for this shoot. I still get lost pouring over the images… you have no idea how long this little blog has taken me to write! So I thought it was about time I took a closer look and shared our 3 creations in more detail. We have talked about Nerine, Anise will follow shortley, but here is Erica…
We named this dress Erica as we took inspiration from the Ericacaea family (or Heather to you and me). Tiny heather coloured blossoms clustered in stems that trail over the delicate lace detail.
That’s the first thing you see… colour! We know a lot of you are uninspired by the traditional ivory gowns you see in the glossy magazines but are hesitant about adding colour. It’s hard to imagine how to incorporate colour into your gown but we think this works beautifully (and judging by the response we have received so far we think you agree).
Next you see the other details; the Chantilly lace, illusion neckline, button detail and incredibly soft tulle and flowing mermaid cut. There is so much to love about this dress… I’m going to let the pictures to the talking!
As I mentioned before, this shoot was recently featured on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings and can been seen in full here:
