Should we create a newsletter?

It’s crazy times here at Legend and there is so much of our day to day life that we can’t share with you. It’s a clandestine affair – so much of what we do has to be kept secret so that we don’t spoil any surprises for our brides. It’s serious business. Can you imagine if we inadvertently shared glimpses of dresses we are working on and gave away our brides?

We are so used to keeping our day to day work secret that we actually find it quite difficult to share the other sides of our business, particularly on social media. It seems to go against the grain somehow. Almost as if it’s unprofessional to share anything other than the finished article in a perfectly manicured setting… and you definitely don’t want to see our ugly mugs do you? But it’s something we plan to work on. If you’re anything like me I find it absolutely fascinating to see how something is made or look into someone’s work space… well maybe we can work on ‘how our collection dresses are made’ to give you that look behind the scenes.

Of course if you do want to keep up to date of what we’re up to we spend most of our time on Instagram and Facebook. We’re hoping to use Instagram stories for the more spur of the moment/behind the scenes stuff so this should be your first port of call. Alternatively you can also find us on Pinterest (another favourite of ours), Twitter and Google+

Viking Wedding Legend Bridal Tiree Dawson122

Of course working with our brides on creating their wedding dresses is obviously the biggest part of our daily life, but there is so much more going on that we can share with you. We created a photo shoot this week. It was a really simple idea; take a girl into the woods in the early throes of storm Doris and battle with the light as the evening draws in (yes simple haha). We are yet to see the professional images but the effect on the back of the camera was mesmerizing… can’t wait to see Marmalade Toast (no pressure!)

Events and dates for your Diary

We’ve done a lot of wedding fairs over the years. Some great, some not so great. Some really well organized and attended, and some we just don’t mention. Thankfully there are more and more individual and quirky wedding events out there and here are the ones we are attending…

Tattooed Wedding Collective at Tattoo Tea Party

All of the Legend girls are heavily tattooed. In fact, as I think about it, I realise that I might be the least tattooed person on the Legend Payroll! How did that happen? I seriously need to remedy this situation and what better way than to team up with Marry Me Ink, wrangle together our favourite friends in the industry and bring our own type of tattooed wedding goodness to the tattoo convention?

The Steampunk wedding fair at Holmes Mill

This is the first wedding fair of its kind. Holmes Mill is a beautiful industrial setting for a quirky Steampunk inspired wedding fair and we are creating a new wedding dress specifically for this wedding fair… come along to see our bridal take on steampunk.

  • When: Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th March 12pm to 4pm
  • Where: Holmes Mill Clitheroe
  • Admission: Free

The Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza

This will be the second time we have have exhibited at The Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza organised by The Couture Company and Assassynation Photography. It’s held in Birmingham (quite a trek for us) but being surrounded by so many like minded wedding businesses is good for the soul – not to mention the totally awesome couples that gravitate to the flock. We also get to participate in the model parade and the Real Bride parade… definitely not one to be missed

  • When: Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd April
  • Where: The Bond, Birmingham
  • Admission: £7-18 for day/evening/weekend passes. Tickets bought here

There’s loads more in the pipeline…

but we could be here forever!
