The day of the Dryad

Legend Fairy - Web-102

My heart aches, and a drowsy numbness pains

My sense, as though of hemlock I had drunk,

Or emptied some dull opiate to the drains

One minute past, and Lethe-wards had sunk:

‘Tis not through envy of thy happy lot,

But being too happy in thine happiness,

That thou, light-winged Dryad of the trees,

In some melodious plot

Of beechen green, and shadows numberless,

Singest of summer in full-throated ease.

It was the outset of storm Doris. On any other day we would have shied away from an outdoor shoot but the prematurely dark skies and blustery winds really added to the ambiance. This combined with the skills Michelle Yates lent to the project in creating sprite like make up and a vine that crept over Kate’s skin and you have yourself a true woodland nymph.
