So, It’s August Bank holiday weekend which means it’s just 3 weeks until our catwalk at the Great Northern Wedding Show at Bolton Arena on the 18th September. We’ve been exhibiting at the Great Northern Wedding Show for a good few years now and I think this is the 4th time we’ve done our own alternative catwalk. It’s always such a talking point and so lovely to inspire so many of you to be your own quirky selves on your wedding day. So what can we expect this time? Well, we have our Legendary girls; our diamonds who bring their awesomeness and strut their stuff on the catwalk. We have TWO award winning stylists, Sonara Parker (Make up artist) and Duncan Fisher (Hair Designer) working ALL DAY behind the scenes to get our girls catwalk ready. These super talented artists are the perfect team to add that extra bit of drama to compliment our dresses. We work with these guys a lot. You just need to check out a few of our shoots to see how amazing these guys are. A collaboration with Paragon Floral Design. We LOVE their innovative floral design and have been working with them on an Continue Reading →
Today we get to unleash our dark side… we don’t often get to let our Goth out in full force, but today we have a double whammy. Not only is today our uber Goth shoot (more on that soon), but we also get to share the darkly decadent Lauren. We first met Lauren at Samlesbury Hall Wedding Fair. It was our first time exhibiting there and we were beyond excited. If ever there was a venue that reflected our designs then this is it. We took our gowns and our girls and gave Samlesbury Hall a catwalk show Legend style. Lauren and Adam had just booked Samlesbury Hall for their wedding and before that excitement had begun to sink in Lauren had watched our catwalk show and promptly ‘lost’ her groom-to-be so we could talk dress and we are SOOO glad she did. Not only did we make Laurens dress and coat, but we also made dresses for her 5 bridesmaids in amethyst tulle. How good do they all look! Lauren is a girl after my own heart. I got so excited hearing plans about their wedding and honeymooning in Disneyland over Halloween! OMG too exciting for words! and we’re Continue Reading →
We are so pleased to be able to share Ginny and Mark’s wedding with you. Ginny and Mark were married earlier this year at the Shireburn Arms in Hurst Green and the pictures taken by Kerry Woods Photography are simply gorgeous; every photo is filled with laughter and that cake – well you really need to take a look at all the details. There is a special place in our hearts for brides who dare to throw caution to the wind and embrace a darker colour palette. We LOVE that Ginny chose this gorgeous black lace. And how glamourous does the floral pattern look over coffee satin? Such a beautiful contrast and perfect for showing off the delicate detail in the lace. The dress has an almost vintage decadence about it; the off the shoulder crossover neckline with little cap sleeve, empire waistline, soft flare and train. The scallop edging and button details just adding that extra bit of bravura.
We are only 5 weeks away from our alternative catwalk at the Great Northern Wedding Show on the 20th September. I’m not going to lie, we’re not ready. It’s the height of the wedding season and all our attention is quite rightly devoted to our brides. We have plenty of plans; new dresses we want to create, grand ideas about our show and huge plans for our stand. But with our concentration fully on getting our brides ready for their weddings, our preparations for the Great Northern Wedding Show will quite definitely be last minute dot com. This is where our amazing friends come in… we are going to be relying heavily on the help of our friends to get us ready (hope you’re reading this guys… count yourselves roped in!) That said, I’m sat here trying to work out what music we should use for our different catwalk scenes and thought it would be interesting to look back at our April show… (all images by ZT Photography) Pre-register for the next show on the 20th September Retro Rockabilly We opened the show with tattoos, petticoats and parasols set to the cutest track by Evelyn Knight from 1948… ‘A Little Continue Reading →
We love the Great Northern Wedding Show. We have exhibited there with Little White Books a couple of times and we love everything about it; the atmosphere, the number of amazing exhibitors, the interest we receive from the brides and grooms that attend the show. The thing that makes this one particularly exciting for us is that we are bringing you our own alternative bridal catwalk show! HOW EXCITING IS THAT!?! We get to bring our more dramatic dresses, enlist the help of our very own models (real women with curves and tattoos) and have had fun putting together a killer soundtrack (absolutely no Bruno Mars in sight!) The catwalk show is at 3pm so make sure you are there in plenty of time. We also have a stand and will be there all day. If you’re interested in having a chat about the possibility of us making your dress please do come and say hi and please be aware that it may be difficult to chat to us AFTER the catwalk show. Oh and you can get in free when you pre-register
