Easter, April and full swing wedding season

As promised in my previous post I’m sat here in my PJ’s, brew on one side, chocolate on the other and looking forward to getting out later today. We didn’t manage to keep the whole of Easter weekend free of work but we’re still getting time to chill out and take a breath. Now I have a moment, I realise there is so much coming up in our diary that we haven’t shared with you: Wedding fair at The Wellbeing Farm – Sunday 3rd April NEXT SUNDAY! Wow, how did that creep up on us? We are really looking forward to joining the team at The Wellbeing Farm for their wedding fair next week. It’s such a quirky venue and we love it. There are few wedding venues that really let you run wild with your ideas but The Wellbeing Farm is one… I can’t wait to see who else will be exhibiting too and of course met loads of excited couples. Really looking forward to next weekend! Legend Bridal Alternative Catwalk

We are only 5 weeks away from our alternative catwalk at the Great Northern Wedding Show on the 20th September. I’m not going to lie, we’re not ready. It’s the height of the wedding season and all our attention is quite rightly devoted to our brides. We have plenty of plans; new dresses we want to create, grand ideas about our show and huge plans for our stand. But with our concentration fully on getting our brides ready for their weddings, our preparations for the Great Northern Wedding Show will quite definitely be last minute dot com. This is where our amazing friends come in… we are going to be relying heavily on the help of our friends to get us ready (hope you’re reading this guys… count yourselves roped in!) That said, I’m sat here trying to work out what music we should use for our different catwalk scenes and thought it would be interesting to look back at our April show… (all images by ZT Photography) Pre-register for the next show on the 20th September Retro Rockabilly We opened the show with tattoos, petticoats and parasols set to the cutest track by Evelyn Knight from 1948… ‘A Little Continue Reading →

Great Northern Wedding Show at Bolton Arena

A few weeks have passed now since we were at the Great Northern Wedding Show with Little White Books in April… in fact, how on earth is it the Middle of June!?! It was a manic run up to the event; the start of the wedding season combined with an ambitious plan to create 6 new dresses for our collection. Closely followed by the mammoth wedding month of May and then a burgeoning calendar of new consultations. It’s definitely kept us out of trouble (and off the internet!) We were blown away by the number of people that came to the show specifically to see us and loved every minute of our alternative catwalk… here is a very quick look at the catwalk and a closer look (including scene and music details) can be found here. Thank you to DJ Archer photography  for taking the time to capture these images and share them with us

Great Northern Wedding Show with Alternative Catwalk by Legend Bridal

We love the Great Northern Wedding Show. We have exhibited there with Little White Books a couple of times and we love everything about it; the atmosphere, the number of amazing exhibitors, the interest we receive from the brides and grooms that attend the show. The thing that makes this one particularly exciting for us is that we are bringing you our own alternative bridal catwalk show! HOW EXCITING IS THAT!?! We get to bring our more dramatic dresses, enlist the help of our very own models (real women with curves and tattoos) and have had fun putting together a killer soundtrack (absolutely no Bruno Mars in sight!) The catwalk show is at 3pm so make sure you are there in plenty of time. We also have a stand and will be there all day. If you’re interested in having a chat about the possibility of us making your dress please do come and say hi  and please be aware that it may be difficult to chat to us AFTER the catwalk show. Oh and you can get in free when you pre-register
