When work means playing in the sand in Scarborough

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting up with Racheal of Marry Me Ink for lunch, and as we sat there discussing The Tattooed Wedding Collective (among other things), I realised that as we hurtled into wedding season we didnt get round tosharing the mini shoots from Scarborough Tattoo Show. Some of you may be aware that we have teamed up with Rachael to create the Tattooed Wedding Collective – a bunch of wedding suppliers crazy about tattoos trying to encourage you guys to embrace your ink on your wedding day. As part of this we are getting involved in a few Tattoo events (Tattoo Tea Party and Scarborough) bringing these crazy fools to you… because who really enjoys a traditional wedding fair? It was while we were at Scarborough Tattoo Show; working with Andy of Peacock Obscura and Stuart of Kokino, that we took the opportunity to whisk our models way for 3 mini shoots: I’m going to let the images speak for themselves… Staring out to see… Light and Dark: This set is used to show our Bellatrix gown in both ivory and black… Vintage seaside… And then, possibly my favourite images from the weekend…   Save Save Continue Reading →

Legend Bridal Alternative Catwalk

We are only 5 weeks away from our alternative catwalk at the Great Northern Wedding Show on the 20th September. I’m not going to lie, we’re not ready. It’s the height of the wedding season and all our attention is quite rightly devoted to our brides. We have plenty of plans; new dresses we want to create, grand ideas about our show and huge plans for our stand. But with our concentration fully on getting our brides ready for their weddings, our preparations for the Great Northern Wedding Show will quite definitely be last minute dot com. This is where our amazing friends come in… we are going to be relying heavily on the help of our friends to get us ready (hope you’re reading this guys… count yourselves roped in!) That said, I’m sat here trying to work out what music we should use for our different catwalk scenes and thought it would be interesting to look back at our April show… (all images by ZT Photography) Pre-register for the next show on the 20th September Retro Rockabilly We opened the show with tattoos, petticoats and parasols set to the cutest track by Evelyn Knight from 1948… ‘A Little Continue Reading →

Great Northern Wedding Show with Alternative Catwalk by Legend Bridal

We love the Great Northern Wedding Show. We have exhibited there with Little White Books a couple of times and we love everything about it; the atmosphere, the number of amazing exhibitors, the interest we receive from the brides and grooms that attend the show. The thing that makes this one particularly exciting for us is that we are bringing you our own alternative bridal catwalk show! HOW EXCITING IS THAT!?! We get to bring our more dramatic dresses, enlist the help of our very own models (real women with curves and tattoos) and have had fun putting together a killer soundtrack (absolutely no Bruno Mars in sight!) The catwalk show is at 3pm so make sure you are there in plenty of time. We also have a stand and will be there all day. If you’re interested in having a chat about the possibility of us making your dress please do come and say hi  and please be aware that it may be difficult to chat to us AFTER the catwalk show. Oh and you can get in free when you pre-register
