Channelling Lagertha for a contemporary Viking Inspired wedding

We LOVE Vikings! The program, the mythology, the history and culture. In fact, I was at a Viking music festival in February organised by Descended from Odin and Heilung were AMAZING!
We have been inspired by Vikings for many years. Several of our designs have been named after their Goddesses and you may have seen our Viking bride Laura on Rock n Roll Bride or our Viking inspired shoot at Lowther Castle back in 2016 featured on The English Wedding blog. So when Laura Duggleby Photography got in touch about a shoot she was organising with Lou Mac MUA we didn’t need much persuasion… one of our favourite themes, with some of our friends in the biz, at a local venue before wedding season took hold. There was nothing to think about really!
Just check out that mist rolling in over Pendle HIll and descending on the Ribble valley! That water almost invites Viking ships, and you wait until you see the woodland ceremony space and the huge oak doors. If ever there was a venue and perfect atmosphere then this was it! You could almost think the Gods had willed it.
As for the dress, we chose Zorya Utrennyaya in Ivory/sky paired with the Asta cape. Both of which you can learn more about and order online!
We LOVED being part of this shoot and can’t wait to show you more, but first here is everyone involved in bringing this idea to life…
