Privacy Policy

  • We respect your privacy and will do everything we can to keep secure any data we collect to process your order. By using this website, you are consenting to the practices described in this policy.

This policy (including our terms and conditions) details how your information will be processed by Legend Bridal Designs Ltd. Should we make any changes to our policy, this page will be updated and if appropriate you will be notified by email. Please check back to this page to see any changes to our privacy policy.

You can request a copy of all information we hold about you at any time.

  • In order for us to manage our business effectively and give you the best customer service possible there are several systems that we use to keep our workflow in order. This means we may store your data in a few different places so here’s what you need to know about the information we collect and what we do with it. Your personal information is contained in secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to these systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.

Our Website is hosted by Squarespace and our customer management system is 17hats and both are GDPR compliant.

When you place an order with us online we require your name, email address, postal address, wedding date and what you have purchased. This information is obviously necessary to complete your order. That’s where it stops. We aren’t the type of company that analyses your purchase history in a bid to target you with ads because let’s face it, this is your happy ever after and we’re unlikely to sell you another wedding dress. We’ll use your email address to keep you up to date on your order and your postal address to send you your order.

Your payments via our website are processed through PayPal. When using PayPal the only information we get is the date, amount and that the transaction is complete. There are no bank or card details attached to the transaction or kept on the site.

Payments made via bank transfer after a consultation are also completely secure and again, all that we see is a reference name that you provide, the transaction amount and date. No other details are supplied or visible.

Our email list, which consists only of your name and email address, is managed using MailChimp who are GDPR compliant. MailChimp uses stat based analytics in order to tell us who opens which links (or doesn’t open the email at all) so we can work out which stories and products are most popular. Very useful if you’re a marketing guru but to be honest we don’t send enough emails to get any useful insights anyway.

You will not automatically be added to our email list. The only way you can get on that list is if you subscribe through the form on our website or at a wedding fair or trade-show. We will not disclose any of your information to any third party or organisation, and if you wish to be removed from our email list simply hit the unsubscribe button in any email we might from time to time send you.

  • Our Website

Our website and blog posts do contain links to other websites and friends in the industry. If you follow a link to any other website please be aware that you are then subject to their privacy policy and we do not accept responsibility or liability for any personal data you submit to these websites.

Cookies are a necessary part of a working website. They enable you to log in to secure areas of our website and use the shopping cart and you will be asked to accept cookies when you start using our website. They allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors to our website and see how they move around our pages. This allows us to see what we need to improve so you can find what you’re looking for.

That said, you can delete cookies and also block them completely from your browser, but this will affect how you see our site and whole sections will become unusable.

Our social media profiles are likely the first and main way you’ll get to find out about what’s going on in our day to day, but we may just be the most unsocial social media users ever. We very often get too caught up in our day to day to stalk our followers and rarely recognise our brides handles. We’ll answer any questions or direct communication whenever we can. If you use one of our hashtags or tag us in pictures we’ll try and leave a comment or repost your photos and we’ll always welcome the interaction.

Each of the platforms we use provide user stats, the most viewed images, the posts with the most interactions etc. We’ll occasionally look at these stats but don’t really know what to do with the information we get from it even though Facebook are constantly trying to suggest ‘keywords’ for us to create targeted ads.

  • We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties any personally identifiable information.
