A more relaxed shoot with Vicky Dubois Photography
It seems an absolute AGE ago now. This year has just completely messed up our timeline! But just a few weeks ago - when the COVID restrictions started to be relaxed, we decided to get together(ISH) with our favourites and flex our creative fingers after the enforced down time.
So what did we do? We had spent some time testing out new ideas and techniques. So what better opportunity than to arrange a photoshoot so we could show you guys a few new options we now have in our arsenal.
We chose models who could do their own hair and makeup, a venue with pretty cool outdoor features (and no people hanging round) and kinda congregated in the car park as Vicky did her thing.
BUT JUST LOOOOOOOK!!!! I mean, just check out how cool this image is!
If you guys are yet to book you wedding photographer then you absolutely need to check out if Vicky Dubois is available for your date!
So what’s new?
Well… dip dye!
We have avoided it. Actively declined to get involved in the phenomenon… well the wet, messy, dangerous version. As you can tell from our other designs, over the years we’ve developed subtle ways to create an ombre effect using layers of fabric and interesting fabric cuts. The results are entirely controlled. Nothing can go wrong, and the dye does not go astray… our stress levels do not cope with allowing that kind of chaos into our studio.
So say hello to our completely controlled, not done in the studio, keep your wet dyes to yourself, technique!
This option is limited. Not all fabrics are suitable. BUT it is also immensely versatile and the colours are VIBRANT!
Before I leave you with a few more images from the shoot I just wanna share the people involved:
